Use a Samson aluminum fid to guide rope during the splicing process specified for your line. Choose the fid by the rope diameter: each size has its own overall length and marked short section for following Samson’s splice measurements.

  • Sizes shown: 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16 and 1/2 inch rope diameter.
  • One aluminum fid per sale unit.
  • A fid pusher is separate; Samson lists its small pusher, product code 913, for these sizes.

Selection: Fid size refers to rope diameter, not tool length. The size-range photo illustrates several options; it is not a multi-fid kit.

Use: Follow the exact rope manufacturer’s splicing procedure. A tool purchase does not establish that a finished splice is suitable for life-support or lifting use. For Samson rope, consult Samson’s rope-specific splicing instructions.

Availability and dispatch: Availability varies by size. The 1/4-inch option is currently unavailable from the supplier. Dispatch for available sizes is confirmed after ordering; splicing products may require additional preparation and are not guaranteed to ship the same day. No weekend or holiday dispatch.

Shipping and order limits: Eligible street addresses in the contiguous United States only. No Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, PO boxes, APO/FPO, or international delivery. Up to two fids per standard parcel; mixed baskets may reach the shipping limit sooner. Larger quantities or unsupported addresses require manual review before fulfillment. A checkout rate does not confirm PO-box eligibility.
