Compare the published working load and construction with your project's requirements. A breaking-strength figure is not a working load limit; knots, wear and loading conditions affect performance.

Important use limits

Do not use this product for overhead lifting, supporting people, fall protection or athletic equipment. Do not exceed the published working load. Avoid shock loading and keep clear of rope under tension. Replace rope with broken fibers or other damage.

The safe working load for most kinds of rope is between 15% and 25% of the tensile strength.

Third-Party Tested Ropes

Ravenox twisted polyester ropes are third-party tested for tensile strength using the Universal Test Method (CI 1500B-15).

Test Results Notes:

None of the specimens break completely even after maximum stretch of the instrument. Maximum force observed at the initial break of the rope. Eye splices used to secure specimen ends. Gauge length between splices 3" average. All breaks occurred away from the splice.
