FMS Kernmantle Composite Accessory Cord (Olive Green)
This multiuse and versatile kernmantle composite accessory cord has a shock absorbent nylon core and a high abrasion resistant polyester cover that is soft enough to provide excellent holding power when tying Prusik knots. The very durable sheath and high MBS makes it great for Prusik cords, cordelettes, ice threads, lightweight low-stretch fixing and hauling "tag" lines. This utility cord can also be used in non-life safety applications such as dog leashes, towlines, or as decorative trim and cover. The perfect rope to keep in your car or backpack, it's also a great rope for tying down loads in your truck or tying your boat to the dock. This rope is very strong and has great holding power for Prusik knots, which are used to attach a cord around rope and are very commonly used climbing and mountaineering.
A Prusik knot allows a loop of cord to attach to a rope and hold a heavy load-very easy to tie, all you need is a good quality cord. The accessory cord is available in two sizes: 1/4 inch / 6 mm or 5/16 inch / 8 mm. The rope provides a good grip and is very flexible and durable. Made from polyester for the cover and nylon for the core, this composite rope is long lasting and reliable.
